Exchange Policy – Mohit Agarwal Jewellers
At Mohit Agarwal Jewellers, we want your purchase to meet your expectations. To make
exchanges simple and fair, we have the following Exchange Policy for items purchased through
www.mohitagarwaljewellers.com and their retail outlets.
Important: This policy applies only to purchases made on our official website and outlets unless otherwise stated. Purchases from other marketplaces or retail outlets may follow different policies.
Exchange Period
- Customers may request an exchange within 7 days from the date of delivery.
- All items returned for exchange must be in original, unused condition and accompanied by the original invoice and any certificates provided at the time of purchase.
Exchange Within 7 Days (Primary / Preferred Window)
- Gold jewellery: May be exchanged for any item of your choice, excluding gold coins. Cash refunds are not permitted.
- Diamond jewellery: Valued at 100% of the original invoice amount for exchange purposes, subject to quality check.
- Uncut / Era diamonds: Valued at 100% of the original invoice amount, subject to quality check.
- Precious / Precia stones (ruby, emerald, sapphire, etc.): 0% — no exchange/buyback value.
- Gold & silver coins/bars: May be exchanged for gold, silver, diamond, uncut/ERA diamond, or precious/Precia stone jewellery at 100% benchmark gold value.
- Other products/categories: For exchanges to different product types, visit a retail outlet for evaluation and acceptance.
- Exchange adjustments: Value will be adjusted against the new item. Any price difference must be paid by the customer. No cash refunds—exchanges are in equivalent jewellery value only.
Exchange After 7 Days
Requests after the 7-day window will follow exchange/buyback rates based on prevailing rates, QC, and in-store evaluation:
- Gold jewellery: Exchangeable at 100% of the benchmark gold rate (0% deduction).
- Diamond jewellery: Valued at 95% of the prevailing diamond carat rate (after discounts). Gold jewellery is eligible at 100% benchmark gold rate.
- Uncut / Era diamonds: 85% of invoice value (after discounts). Gold jewellery eligible at 100% benchmark gold rate.
- Precious / Precia stones: 0% exchange value.
- Solitaire loose diamonds / diamond studs: Valued at 95% of the prevailing diamond carat rate, subject to certificate verification.
- Platinum jewellery: Valued at 95% of benchmark platinum rate + 95% of applicable diamond value, subject to QC and final evaluation.
- Gold coins / Silver coins: May be exchanged for gold, silver, diamond, uncut/ERA diamond, or precious/Precia stone jewellery at 100% benchmark gold value.
Quality Check & Valuation
- Every exchange (within or after 7 days) is subject to a quality check (QC) by our Quality Department or a certified laboratory.
- QC and valuation may take up to 4 working days.
- Uncut diamonds, special stones, and items requiring specialist assessment will be valued in-store at the time of exchange.
- Mohit Agarwal Jewellers reserves the right to accept or refuse an exchange based on QC findings.
Excluded Items / Special Cases
- Custom-made, altered items, Smart Buy (make-to-order), engraved/personalized jewellery, Rakhi, gold & silver coins/bars, and silver articles are not covered under the standard 7-day exchange for full value. For these items, “Exchange After 7 Days” and Buyback policies apply.
- Promotional or special offer products may be excluded from exchange privileges.
- Gifts/gift vouchers issued at purchase must be returned at the time of exchange; otherwise, the gift value will be deducted.
Taxes, Fees & Documentation
- All applicable taxes, duties, and fees as per local law are the responsibility of the customer.
- Valid original invoice and relevant product certificates must be presented for exchange.
- Only one exchange is permitted per invoice under the primary exchange process.
Coins, Gemstone & Returns
- Coins and gemstone (precious/semi-precious) products are not eligible for returns under the standard exchange policy.
- Handling of such items will follow the buyback or in-store policies and valuations.
Miscellaneous
- Exchanges will be adjusted against the value of the new product — no cash will be paid; only equivalent value credit toward new jewellery is allowed.
- If the desired item is not available online, visit a retail outlet for evaluation and exchange assistance.
- Mohit Agarwal Jewellers reserves the right to modify or refuse exchange requests at its discretion and amend policy terms without prior notice.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
All disputes arising under this policy are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Noida.
